About GetMeInsta.com

A small, focused tool: paste an Instagram link, get the original file. No account, no install, no tracking profile.

What GetMeInsta.com is

GetMeInsta.com is a free web application that saves public Instagram media - photos, videos, Reels, Stories and profile pictures - to your device. There is nothing to install and nothing to sign up for: it is a page, a text box and a Download button.

The project started as a way to keep a personal archive of posts worth revisiting without resorting to screen recordings. It is now used by creators, community managers, researchers and people who simply want their own uploads back on their phone.

How the resolver works

  • You paste a public Instagram link into the box.
  • Your browser sends that single link to the resolver service over an encrypted connection.
  • The resolver returns the media list Instagram publishes for that post.
  • Your browser downloads the file directly from Instagram's CDN to your device.

No copy of the media is stored on our side: the file travels from Instagram's servers to your browser.

Privacy by design

  • No account, so no profile to leak
  • No download history stored on a server
  • No advertising or cross-site tracking pixels on the downloader
  • The only thing sent to the resolver is the link you paste

Browser storage is used for one thing only: a short throttle that keeps requests inside the resolver's rate limit. You can clear it at any time from your browser settings.
