Instagram does not offer one download button because it does not offer any. Each surface - feed, IGTV, Reels, stories, highlights, avatars - is served from the same content network but with its own file type, so a downloader has to know what it is looking at. GetMeInsta.com resolves the link first and only then offers the files that actually exist for that post.
| What you paste | What comes back | Typical format |
|---|---|---|
| Post or carousel | One file per slide | JPG, WebP or PNG |
| Feed video | Original rendition | MP4, H.264 + AAC |
| IGTV episode | Long-form video | MP4, up to 1080p |
| Reel | Vertical video + audio | MP4 and M4A |
| Story / highlight | Photo or video item | JPG or MP4 |
| Profile link | Avatar | JPG, square |
Resolution happens inside your browser: the link you paste goes to a resolver, the file comes back from Instagram's CDN and lands in your downloads. No copy is stored on our side, there is no account to create and no history to delete.
Use it for your own content or content you have permission to reuse; the full rules are in the Terms of Service.
No. GetMeInsta.com is a web page and the download runs in your browser on any device.
Whatever Instagram serves for that post: MP4 for videos, IGTV and Reels, M4A for the separate audio track, JPG/WebP for photos.
Every slide appears as its own card, so you can download them one after another without re-resolving the link.
No limit. Requests are spaced by about a second so the resolver stays inside its own rate limit.
GetMeInsta.com is built to help you save photos and videos that you own or have permission to use. We refuse service to anyone using it to violate the copyright or privacy of others.
